Twenty-nine years ago today, Israel lost one of its greatest patriots. Golda Meir, one founder of the state of Israel and the first female Prime Minister, also once stated "One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present."
History can be compromised. Truth is unyielding and forever lasting. It is a permanent fixture with which we can measure our successes and our failures. Compromise the truth and what we are left is a frail mirage of peace.
