IDF Villanized For Not Raping Women

From The Jawa Report - a prize-winning research paper submitted to a Hebrew University is suggesting a political agenda is the sole reason the IDF does not rape Palestinian women:

A research paper that won a Hebrew University teachers' committee prize finds that the lack of IDF rapes of Palestinian women is designed to serve a political purpose.

The abstract of the paper, authored by doctoral candidate Tal Nitzan, notes that the paper shows that "the lack of organized military rape is an alternate way of realizing [particular] political goals."

The next sentence delineates the particular goals that are realized in this manner: "In the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it can be seen that the lack of military rape merely strengthens the ethnic boundaries and clarifies the inter-ethnic differences - just as organized military rape would have done."

The paper further theorizes that Arab women in Judea and Samaria are not raped by IDF soldiers because the women are de-humanized in the soldiers' eyes.

The paper was published by the Hebrew University's Shaine Center, based on the recommendation of a Hebrew University professors' committee headed by Dr. Zali Gurevitch.

"I do not have the entire text in front of me," Gurevitch said, when contacted by Arutz-7, "and I don't think we can jump to conclusions based on partial sentences, but I can say the following: This was a very serious paper that asked two important questions: Is the relative lack of IDF rapes a noteworthy phenomenon, and if so, why is it that there are so few IDF rapes when in similar situations around the world, rape is much more common?"

"Similar situations around the world"? For instance, say... involving ISLAM? The very religion in which the enslavement and rape of an enemy woman is considered a virtue? The religion whose own prophet - the perfect example & beautiful pattern of conduct for Muslim men - raped enemy women and children? The same religion involved in nearly every major conflict on earth?

Occam's Razor states entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily. In other words, the simplest and most logical theory is usually correct. The suggestion that the IDF has some sort of political motivation to make them resist committing a barbaric act is not only unnecessarily complex, it is ridiculous. The most logical theory? IDF soldiers are simply better human beings than their Islamic opposition.

No, the title of this post isn't a current event. That was the New York Times headline on November 8th, 1938. What followed was Kristallnacht - The Night of the Broken Glass.

The IDF is conducting a large scale operation to confiscate weapons from the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria, according to Channel 10 TV. The purpose of the operation is described as "putting the settlers' gun permits in order."

The security coordinators of the communities in Samaria have been summoned to a meeting with IDF officers Thursday, and community leaders are convinced that the IDF intends to collect many of the weapons in the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

Hillel Reinus of Yitzhar said: "I have no idea who is giving the order, it seems to be coming from up high, but they've decided to take the weapons away from everyone." Another resident of the community, Yigal Amitai, added, "They are abandoning citizens, it is an irresponsibile act, but everything pales compared to reality."

Condoleezza Rice: Time For A Palestinian State

RAMALLAH, West Bank — Secretary of State Condoleezza said Monday it was "time for the establishment of a Palestinian state," and described Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts as the most serious in years.

An international peace conference expected to take place in Annapolis, Md., in November has to be substantive, Rice said at a news conference with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

"We frankly have better things to do than invite people to Annapolis for a photo op," she said.

Israelis and Palestinians, Rice added, are making their "most serious effort" in years to resolve the conflict.

"Frankly, it's time for the establishment of a Palestinian state," she added.

Kidnapped IDF Soldiers Presumed Dead

This is the "religion of peace" for you. Compassion? Mercy? Not if you're a Jew. These men died while imprisoned, no doubt bound when executed by their savage captors. Muslims specialize in slaughtering the defenseless.

A French official said Israel is convinced its two soldiers who were kidnapped by Hizbullah last year are dead, London-based al-Hayat newspaper reported on Thursday.

The report did not reveal any information on the official or his involvement in efforts to have the captives, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, released.

"Israel is convinced that its two soldiers who were kidnapped by Hizbullah were killed and that the organization is manipulating the situation by saying it is preventing any visits," the official said.

The report gave no further details on the matter.

Since the kidnapping, which set off the Second Lebanon War, there have been many reports in foreign press about the soldiers' conditions.

In July the Lebanese newspaper a-Nahar quoted high-ranking German officials in Berlin as saying they believed one of the soldiers was dead.

The report said the German government had begun to get seriously involved in negotiations for the soldiers' release and was in direct contact with the Christian general, Michel Aoun, who is currently in the midst of a presidential campaign in Lebanon.

The diplomats were trying to get information regarding the fate of the two soldiers, but Aoun, who is cooperating with Hizbullah against the Siniora government, refused to comment on the issue.
