Pope Benedict XVI strongly criticized Islam in a major document released Friday, saying it had led to some of the "greatest forms of cruelty and violations of justice" ever known.

Sounds accurate. After what happened last year when the Pope quoted a 14th century text and all hell broke loose in the Muslim world, it's surprising he'd ever say anything negative about Islam again.

Well, he didn't. The above quote was edited by me. This is what the article really says:

Run for cover! The atheists will surely riot, and protest, and kill, and maim, and mutilate! After all, the extremist element exists in all religions and groups, not just Islam. Right?

It's easy to pick on someone who doesn't fight back. Cowardly, but easy. Islam fought back, however inappropriately. But the Pope learned. Among cowards, the truth is irrelevant in the face danger.

For the record, this is the truth the Pope stated in his 2006 lecture at the University of Regensburg in Germany. It is a quote from "Dialogue Held With A Certain Persian, the Worthy Mouterizes, in Anakara of Galatia", written in 1391:

The Religion of Peace: "KILL Her! KILL Her!"

Spitting hatred, thousands of hardline Islamists called for British teacher Gillian Gibbons to be shot yesterday.

They streamed out of mosques in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, shouting: "Kill her, kill her, kill her by firing squad."

One man brandished a giant sword, others carried axes, clubs, ceremonial swords and knives.

Pictures of the 54-year-old, who was sentenced to 15 days in jail for insulting Islam by letting her class call a teddy bear Mohammed, were set alight or trampled into the dirt.

The barbarity and savagery of Islam once again rears its ugly face. Look at the pictures closely. That isn't a small handful of radical protesters. There are thousands, perhaps tens of thousands. And virtually all are Muslim men. Muhammad is their example.

"Moderate" Muslims continue to claim theirs is the "religion of peace." Rational people everywhere desperately cling to the hope that extremists within the religion are, in fact, a minority. But almost as though they want to prove "moderates" wrong, violent Muslim men throughout the world boldly proclaim their religious duty to spread Islam, by violence if necessary.

In the end, it will ultimately come to this: will it be a battle between the civilized West, allied with a majority of 'peaceful' Muslims, against the extremists, or will it be a war against Islam? That is left up to the "moderate" Muslims.

Jose Cuervo Christmas Cookies

1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup nuts
2 cups of dried fruit
1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila

Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.

Turn on the electric mixer… Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.

Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it’s best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK, try another cup, just in case.

Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit, Pick the frigging fruit off the floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who giveshz a hoot. Check the Jose Cuervo. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don’t forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher.

A defense lawyer says a British teacher has been found guilty of inciting religious hatred and sentenced to 15 days in prison and deportation from Sudan.

Gillian Gibbons went on trial earlier today for letting her students name a teddy bear Muhammad.

Gibbons walked in without handcuffs, wearing a dark jacket and blue skirt, according to reporters in the courtroom before media were ordered out of the chamber. Riot police surrounded the courthouse.

Muhammad is a common name among Muslim men, but giving the name of Islam's founder to an animal would be seen as insulting by many Muslims.

Sudan is a country the U.S. Department of State considers a partner in counter-terrorism. But not once in this linked press release does the U.S. Department of State mention the word "Islam" in relation to Sudan. It's no wonder in our war against Islamic terrorists, twenty-first century technology of the U.S. military is having little noticeable impact against terrorists. Our state department is incapable of recognizing the true enemy of civilization.

Islam is barbaric, draconian. Under the Sharia, countless innocents have faced cruel and unjust punishments, many resulting in death. In sending billions of dollars in U.S. foreign aid to countries like Sudan, the United States is inadvertently supporting Islamic terrorism.

In Annapolis, Condoleezza Rice compared the Palestinian plight to that of blacks in the segregated south during the tumultuous 60's:

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told a closed meeting of Arab and Israeli envoys in Annapolis this week that her childhood in the segregated U.S. south helped her to understand the plight of Palestinians and the fear felt by Israelis, the Dutch representative to the summit, Franz Timmermans, told the Washington Post on Thursday.

"I know what its like to hear that you can't use a certain road, or pass through a checkpoint because you are a Palestinian. I know what it is like to feel discriminated against and powerless," Rice was reported as saying.

So, the Palestinians are just innocent victims being discriminated against? Does this mean Rice believes Israelis should be compared to the white racists who perpetrated acts of violence against innocents? We mustn't have blind pandering without the compulsory, condescending, politically correct counter-balance:

Rice described her childhood in Birmingham, Alabama during the era of segregation and the killing of four young girls in the bombing of Birmingham's 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in 1963. Rice said the bombing, which killed one of her classmates, helps her understand the fear of terrorism felt by Israelis.

"Like Israelis, I understand what it's like to go to sleep not knowing if you will be hurt in an explosion, the feeling of terror walking around your own neighborhood, or walking to your house of prayer," Rice was quoted in the Washington Post as saying.

You can't have it both ways, Ms. Rice. If both sides are victims, there is no aggressor.

I'm no authority on the civil rights movement, but I don't recall systematic violence being perpetrated by blacks against white southerners. I simply don't remember black militants committing atrocious acts of barbarity, with the support of surrounding black communities, against innocent civilians. I cannot recall any instance of black mobs lynching innocent whites, and then celebrating by feasting on the victim's internal organs (WARNING: Link Contains Graphic Imagery).

The fear of torture, mutilation or death cannot be compared to the inconvenience of entering a checkpoint. And yet, it seems the Bush Administration has ignorantly empowered one of the basic tenets of Islamic supremacy from the Qur'an itself. Persecution is worse than slaughter (Surah 2:191).

But They Had a Good Reason...

Muslims defend and excuse Islamic murderers:

A Kano state committee investigating the September 28 Muslim rampage in Tudun Wada Dankadai learned at public hearings that 19 Christians were killed, but it only reported three deaths in its interim report to state authorities.

The committee, made up of nine Muslims and three Christians, discovered from at least two official sources that 17 Muslims and Islamic preacher Isa Jihad were responsible for starting the violence, but in its report to the state government it sought to blame the disturbance on Christian students.

Inexplicably, in its report to state authorities earlier this month the committee stated that Christian students began the violent rampage when they supposedly became upset that one had converted to Islam.

The nine Muslims on the committee overruled protests by the three Christians against withholding the total number of deaths and actual causes from the state government, said the Rev. Murtala Marti Dangora, a member of the committee. The panel found that Islamic agitators burned down 10 churches, 36 houses belonging to Christians, and looted and destroyed 147 Christian-owned shops.

The committee also found that the Muslim rampage displaced 350 Christian families and that there is not a single house belonging to a Christian now standing in Tudun Wada Dankadai.

Muslim committee members held that they could report only three killings because the other 16 could not be officially identified. During the attack, 16 victims were buried in a common grave, while three corpses were identified by surviving family members were released to them.

“When we said we should reflect the fact that 19 Christians were killed in our report, the other members who are Muslims refused,” Rev. Dangora told Compass. “What could we have done when we were a minority?”

Hamas leaders in recent weeks vowed their organization would seize the West Bank if Israel hands the territory to Abbas, just as Hamas seized the Gaza Strip last June, overtaking all U.S.-backed Fatah security compounds in less than one week.

The West Bank borders Jerusalem and is within rocket range of Tel Aviv and Israel's international airport.

Leaders of the breakaway Serbian province of Kosovo will not negotiate the future status of the province after a December 10 UN deadline, its representatives said Tuesday after talks with Serbian officials.

"Kosovo is not ready to continue any sort of engagement after December 10," Skender Hyseni, a spokesman for the Kosovo delegation, told journalists on the second day of talks with Serbia on the province's future.

The ethnic Albanian dominated province, which has been ruled by the U.N. since an international campaign to end a Serbian crackdown in 1999, wants self-government but Serbia is refusing to let Kosovo go.

European Union, Russian and U.S. mediators are leading the latest talks and are to submit a report on Kosovo to U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on December 10, effectively ending negotiations between the two sides.

As part of a class project a British teacher's Sudanese class of young students named the stuffed tyke - Mohammed-and now the muslims officials in Sudan are outraged and see this as an insult to their Prophet and have arrested the teacher, 54 yr. old Gillian Gibbons, under "insult to faith and religion". She may even face 40 lashes for her "blasphemy".

Albania Children Protest Child Abuse and Slavery

Albania is majority Muslim. Is it any surprise that these 7th Century Savages™ condone or participate in child slavery? My guess is, most of these abused and exploited children are female, the "deficient" sex according to Muslim scholars.

One in two of Albania's children experience physical violence at home and one in three at school, according to UNICEF. Based on the 2006 report of the Ministry of Interior, last year in Albania there were some four hundred cases of child violence reported and around 50 of them resulted in the child's death.

In a press conference organized on November 19th World Vision as a member of the coalition against child violence, a coalition of a dozen local and international NGOs, appealed to the Albania government to take rapid actions in ratifying the convent against child abuse and child labor.

According to the Women's World Summit Foundation, every year over 1 million children are pulled into the sex trade, some 180 million are exploited for work and over 120 million will never go to school.

Islamic Terrorists Planning Attacks in America

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Islamic radicals from Iraq and Afghanistan planned a terrorist attack on a US intelligence center that trains military interrogators for Guantanamo Bay and other detention centers, The Washington Times reported Monday.

Citing confidential law enforcement documents, the newspaper said the plot targeted Fort Huachuca, an Army base located next to the Arizona town of Sierra Vista, about 15 miles (24 kilometers) north of the US-Mexican border.

Last May, the base was forced to beef up security measures after commanders were warned that possibly as many as 60 Afghan and Iraqi radicals had been smuggled into the United States through underground tunnels built and manned by Mexican drug cartels, the report said.

Annapolis - They Just Don't Get It

Midday Prayer Call Disregarded To Celebrate New Iraqi Cardinal

Gateway Pundit is reporting an incredible development in Iraq. Covering the Papal ceremony, which was carried on live television, Al-Iraqiyya TV skipped broadcasting the Muslim midday call to prayer in order to keep transmitting.

No progress in Iraq? This is proof enough for me that there is progress being made. From The Talisman Gate via Gateway Pundit:

Al-Iraqiyya TV’s caption for the event was ‘The Symbols of Iraq’ and at one point the camera focused on a man in the audience holding up the Iraqi flag just as Cardinal Delli was named.

It was a very moving ceremony, and it was especially refreshing to find Iraq’s official media highlighting the event and describing the Chaldean patriarch as a national ‘symbol’. The channel even skipped the Muslim midday call to prayer in order to keep transmitting the proceedings, which were conducted in Latin but were translated into Arabic by a presenter.

Tourism authorities in Indonesia's Aceh province hope that its practice of Sharia or Islamic law will attract visitors.

"We invite international tourists to visit Aceh to observe how an Islamic community lives and how the Islamic code of Sharia is applied," said Cipta Hunai, an Aceh tourism official, in an interview with Adnkronos International (AKI).

Hunai said that Sharia allowed for the development of a peaceful and secure community in Aceh which would be appreciated by tourists. He said that Sharia law in Aceh was a tourist attraction because it allowed foreigners to see a reality, that perhaps, they did not already know.

"Here the tourists can visit many mosques and see how a community lives under laws based on the Koran," he said.

Hunai denied that public canings - which are allowed and used to punish some crimes - could shock and discourage non-Muslim tourists.

"We don't believe that this can scare anyone. In any case, the punishments are carried out to correct Muslims who have made mistakes," he said.

"But one must remember that these punishments are only applied to Muslims and here even the religious minority is respected," he added.

Corporal punishment is carried out in Aceh for crimes including the sale or consumption of alcohol, gambling or meeting a person of the opposite sex, that is not your husband, wife or family member, in a private place.

Expelled Jews hold property deeds on Arab lands

The issue of Jews expelled from the Arab nations is one that evades the memory of those in the Islamic world. It's a kind of selective amnesia. They desire a right of return for the "Palestinians", who left at the request of the Arab leaders, after they had decided to finish Hitler's job and wipe out those who escaped the holocaust, but at the same time deny any compensation to the decedents of some 850,000 Jews expelled from their property in the Arab nations, whose lost assets are now valued at more than $300 billion.

Heskel M. Haddad, president of the World Organization of Jews from Arab Countries is taking Israel's critics to task on the issue and adding that his organization has in it's possession, decades-old property deeds of Jews from Arab countries on a total area of 100,000 sq.km. - which is five times the size of the State of Israel.

I'm glad to see that somebody has stepped up and decided not to allow this double standard "right of return" demand to continue without demanding that the other side to this story, the story of Jews expelled from Arab countries and their property taken from them, be told to the world as well.

Welcome to this brave, new world, where even Osama bin Laden must be shaking his head over the spasm of Western butt-kissing that follows high-profile Islamic terror. Each new attack in the name of Allah seems to bring a fresh round of public groveling to the religion that inspires it - even if we can count on one hand the number of Muslims courageously calling the Islamic world to accountability for the violence.

Yet, for all of the reward that Islam has reaped from 9/11, it is still losing the public relations battle. Favorable opinion of Islam has declined steadily in the last several years, as ordinary people have noticed the persistence of Muslim terror and (more importantly) the indifference and arrogance of the broader Islamic community.

For all of the stale, half-hearted pronouncements that Islam "has nothing to do" with the killing (usually made by individuals or organizations which don't otherwise seem all that concerned), the ugly truth is that it is the "radicals" who have Islam's history and holiest texts on their side. Thus the terror continues - now having reached 10,000 attacks since 9/11, as documented here.

That's 10,001 deadly Islamic terrorist attacks. At least one innocent life was cut short in each and every one of these acts; in some cases, dozens or even hundreds, were murdered.

The establishment media is seemingly obsessed with “grim milestones” in the War on Terror, as the Associated Press reminds us this past weekend. But in the next week those same establishment media outlets will probably stand mute when yet another “grim milestone” is reached – the10,000th attack by Islamic terrorists and militants since 9/11, which is responsible for approximately 60,000 dead and 90,000 injured.

The chronicler of this bloody tally is Glen Reinsford, editor of TheReligionofPeace.com, who began compiling and updating daily a detailed list of reported incidents of violence and terrorism around the world targeting non-Muslims and Muslims alike. Because of space limitations he only posts the past two months worth of attacks on his websites main page, though he has archived all of the incidents from past years (2001-2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007). He also maintains a banner graphic with the updated number of attacks, which people can post on their own websites.

When asked what prompted him to begin such a labor-intensive undertaking, Reinsford identifies the tepid response to Islamic terrorism by otherwise outspoken Muslim groups, with one organization particularly in mind:

The Council on American-Islamic Relations. After 9/11, I kept an eye on them and was quite disgusted by their lack of moral perspective. They complain about issues that affect Muslims which are quite trivial, on average, compared to what is happening in the name of their religion. They do occasionally denounce terror in a general, somewhat ambiguous, sense but there is an obvious lack of passion. Their real interest is themselves.

U.S. Supporting Terrorism

The U.S. is secretly supporting Syria's Baathist regime, according to this FoxNews report. If true, this is a shameful period for America in its war on terrorism. Syria is not only a sworn enemy to America's best ally Israel, but is also responsible for political assassinations in Lebanon and equipping Islamic insurgents who murder our troops.

Shame on Bush, and shame on America.

After years of harsh talk and escalating rounds of sanctions against Syria for supporting terror and seeking weapons of mass destruction, the United States is quietly supporting a United Nations program to supply the Syrian regime with sophisticated surveillance equipment and computers to monitor its borders.

That surreptitious support emerged in the course of a FOX News investigation that began after a surprise Israeli air strike on September 6 destroyed a mysterious Syrian facility that many experts believe was a North Korean-style nuclear reactor.

The gap between the Bush Administration’s anti-Syrian rhetoric and reality emerges in the book-keeping of the $5.2 billion United Nations Development Program, the U.N.’s flagship development agency, which has come under heavy fire for its improper funneling of cash to the regime of North Korean dictator and nuclear proliferator Kim Jong Il.

This time the issue is UNDP’s ties — and those of the U.S. and the European Union — to the Baathist regime of Syrian President Bashir Assad, which has been sanctioned by the U.S. for its sponsorship of international terrorism, destabilization of Lebanon and its shipping of terrorists and weapons to kill U.S. soldiers in Iraq.
