Robert Spencer writes about a new short video on the Muslim persecution of Christians in the Middle East.

Christianity, born in the Middle East, is in danger of losing its two millenia-long presence there. If that notion sounds alarmist to Western ears, it is acknowledged by Middle Easterners as a growing likelihood.

“I fear the extinction of Christianity in Iraq and the Middle East,” said the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Baghdad, Jean Benjamin Sleiman, as Pope Benedict XVI visited that troubled region this week. The Lebanese Christian columnist Sarkis Naoum added: “Unless there is a turn toward secularism in the Arab world, I don’t think there is a future for Christians here.” In 1909, the Middle East was 20 percent Christian; one hundred years later, that percentage has fallen to five percent.

This precipitous decline is chronicled and explained in a detailed historical video entitled Muslim Persecution of Christians, produced by the Terrorism Awareness Project. The video, which is embedded below, recounts contemporary examples of anti-Christian violence, and the Islamic theology that justifies and intensifies it.

As the video demonstrates, the resurgence of the Islamic jihad and Islamic supremacism around the world in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries can be directly correlated with the declining Christian population. As Muslims, influenced by Salafi movements to restore the “purity” of Islamic governance, reassert traditional Islamic legal stipulations mandating and institutionalizing discrimination against and harassment of Christians, Christians all over the Islamic world are feeling the heat.

Muslims Being Deported From Christian Nation

Um... Not really. It's actually Christians being deported from Jordan.

But as Muslims often try to portray Islam as a religion of love and peace that tolerates other faiths, I thought this article might shed some light on that myth:

Jordan has increased pressure on foreign Christians living in the kingdom, expelling many long-time residents over the past 13 months in what local churches see as an attack on their legitimacy.

Authorities deported or refused residence permits to at least 27 expatriate Christian families and individuals in 2007, a number of them working with local churches or studying at a Christian seminary, Compass has confirmed.

In all but one case, officials refused to provide written explanations for the decisions. But many of those expelled told Compass that they had been questioned by intelligence officers regarding evangelism of Muslims.

“They said that I am a threat to Jordanian security and I am making the society unstable,” said Hannu Lahtinen, a Finnish pastor deported last month. “They have a thousand ways to say you are preaching the gospel.”

Though not illegal, Christian “public proselytism” of Muslims is against government policy, according to the U.S. State Department’s annual report on religious freedom in Jordan.

We are often told by Muslims how non-Muslims "flourished" under Islamic rule. They confuse the word "flourish" with "survive". Non-Muslims have never excelled under Muslim rule. They are kept in a state of perpetual fear and subjugation. This is not only to prevent them from gaining any sort of political power or personal wealth, but also to slowly squeeze them out of existence.

Muslims can freely attempt, even by force, to convert non-Muslims. However, non-Muslims cannot, in anyway, even peacefully, encourage a Muslim to convert to Christianity.

As the Muslim population increases, non-Muslim populations in Islamic societies decrease. That is the peaceful solution of the Islamic prophet Muhammad to rid the world of non-Muslims.

Of course, the only other option is to kill them.

But They Had a Good Reason...

Muslims defend and excuse Islamic murderers:

A Kano state committee investigating the September 28 Muslim rampage in Tudun Wada Dankadai learned at public hearings that 19 Christians were killed, but it only reported three deaths in its interim report to state authorities.

The committee, made up of nine Muslims and three Christians, discovered from at least two official sources that 17 Muslims and Islamic preacher Isa Jihad were responsible for starting the violence, but in its report to the state government it sought to blame the disturbance on Christian students.

Inexplicably, in its report to state authorities earlier this month the committee stated that Christian students began the violent rampage when they supposedly became upset that one had converted to Islam.

The nine Muslims on the committee overruled protests by the three Christians against withholding the total number of deaths and actual causes from the state government, said the Rev. Murtala Marti Dangora, a member of the committee. The panel found that Islamic agitators burned down 10 churches, 36 houses belonging to Christians, and looted and destroyed 147 Christian-owned shops.

The committee also found that the Muslim rampage displaced 350 Christian families and that there is not a single house belonging to a Christian now standing in Tudun Wada Dankadai.

Muslim committee members held that they could report only three killings because the other 16 could not be officially identified. During the attack, 16 victims were buried in a common grave, while three corpses were identified by surviving family members were released to them.

“When we said we should reflect the fact that 19 Christians were killed in our report, the other members who are Muslims refused,” Rev. Dangora told Compass. “What could we have done when we were a minority?”

Doomsday Cult Waits For The End of The World

While insane Muslims go on killing rampages to usher in their Hour of Judgment, these wacky Christians hide in a cave...

AT least 30 members of a Russian doomsday cult have barricaded themselves in a remote cave to await the end of the world and are threatening to commit suicide if police intervene, officials and media said today.

“They have covered the entrance and refuse to come out and are threatening to blow themselves up,” an official in the local prosecutor's office told Reuters by telephone.

“They threaten to detonate a gas tank and blow themselves up.”

The cult members, who include 29 adults and four children, are hidden inside a snow-covered hillside in the Penza region of central Russia.

An Ever Peaceful Muslim Tortures Girlfriend For Being Christian

A 19 year old woman managed Sunday evening to escape from her torturer, a Danish citizen of Lebanese background.

She had been held captive for 9 days in a shed in the Sydhavnen district of Copenhagen where she had been beaten with an electric cable and subjected to other acts of violence by her boyfriend, a 19 year old Danish citizen from Lebanon. Sunday afternoon she managed to break out of her prison, climbed a fence and broke into a store, where she found a telephone and called her family.

The depth of depravity seen in Muslims never ceases to amaze me. Nigeria, October 22 (Compass Direct News) – One man has been killed with a sword and another bludgeoned to death in this city in central northern Nigeria following Muslim leaders’ appeal to wage violent jihad against youthful Christians. Muslim extremists on October 12 murdered Henry Emmanuel Ogbaje, a 24-year-old Christian, at an area known as Gamji Gate. The following day, church leaders said, a young Christia the Rev. Joshua Magaji n identified only as Basil was beaten to death with wooden clubs in the same area. Elder Saidu Dogo, secretary of the northern Nigeria chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, told Compass that Islamic leader Sheik Gumi had urged Muslims to wage jihad against Christians in televised broadcasts during the Islamic month-long observance of Ramadan. "He specifically called for a jihad," Dogo told Compass, "and that when they go killing they should not kill the elderly people, because the elderly have spent their years already, but that Muslims should kill young Christians."

Muslim Appeal For Peace An Invitation to Convert To Islam?

Nearly a week ago, Muslim scholars sent an open letter to Christians calling for unity and peace. The "survival of the world" is at stake, they claimed.

In full context, it is clear that this section of the Quran, including 3:64, is a condemnation of Christianity and Judaism and a call for conversion. Muslim Mob Beats Christians, Including Children

Ramadan is supposed to be a time of kindness, compassion, and charity. Instead, Muslims use the religion of peace holiday to whip themselves into a violent frenzy and relentlessly attack non-Muslims. No other religion has followers leaving their house of worship in such an outrage innocent people must be slaughtered to appease them.

Lahore (AsiaNews) – A Muslim mob armed with guns and steel rods attacked the New Apostolic Church in Hadyara, on the outskirts of Lahore. They beat up worshippers, including a child, and damaged property.

After the incident the attackers through mosque loudspeakers called on Muslims from nearby villages to gather for a “final attack” after Ramadan. They also urged businesses and farmers not to allow Christians on their properties or do business with them.

Muslims To Christians: Make Peace Or Die

Prominent Muslim scholars are warning that the "survival of the world" is at stake if Muslims and Christians do not make peace with each other.

In an unprecedented open letter signed by 138 leading Muslim scholars from every sect of Islam, the Muslims plead with Christian leaders "to come together with us on the common essentials of our two religions."

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, and Pope Benedict are believed to have been sent copies of the document which calls for greater understanding between the two faiths.

The letter also spells out the similarities between passages of the Bible and the Koran.

The Muslim scholars state: "As Muslims, we say to Christians that we are not against them and that Islam is not against them - so long as they do not wage war against Muslims on account of their religion, oppress them and drive them out of their homes."

When you consider the fact that nearly every single major world conflict on earth today involves Islam, one has to wonder who really wants peace. Christians are not on the offensive here. It is Islam - Muslims - making war throughout the world, forcing their faith on countless millions and retaliating violently when rejected.

As Golda Meir once said, "Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us."

9/11 Mastermind Claims To Have Converted To Christianity

Ramzi Yousef, the mastermind of the first terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, claims he converted from Islam to Christianity, Scott Pelley reports in a story that brings viewers inside the secretive "Supermax" prison where he is being held. Pelley also reports that some 900 force feedings were performed on other al-Qaeda terrorists who went on repeated hunger strikes to protest conditions at the Colorado top-security federal prison. American Dhimmitude And Christian Bashing

First, in a mock terrorist hostage situation, a U.S. school portrays the invaders as "members of a right-wing fundamentalist group called the 'New Crusaders' who don't believe in separation of church and state."

And now the CBS program Cold Case will air an episode in which a woman is stoned to death by her fellow Christians:

In the September 30 episode of the CBS forensics show, the devoutly religious teens in an abstinence club turn out to be sexually active hypocrites who murder one of their own members – by stoning her, as the Bible teaches – to keep their sins secret.

The irony in both these cases is that, far from being fiction, they parallel Muslim behavior, not Christian. Currently in Iran and many other Muslim societies, women are actually stoned to death as a punishment for immorality. But that is lost on American schools and broadcasting companies. Rather than risk upsetting the ever peaceful religion of Islam, our dhimmis happily take aim at the Christian faith.

I suppose it is much safer that way.

Muslim Draws a Muhammad Cartoon; Nine Christians Slaughtered In Response

Ah, the Religion of Peace...

Salifu who spoke with newsmen in Kaduna weekend said that reports reaching him from Kano state said there was trouble in Tudun Dankande local government area of the state Friday where nine Christians, including a youth corper serving in the area were killed and their property destroyed over an internet cartoon said to have emanated from a 20-year-old Muslim boy from Bangladesh.

"Information available to me is that almost all the churches within that local government area have been razed down and shops belonging to Christians had also been burnt including their houses. We have been told that they have been ejected and their property brought down and burnt.

"The information given was that they saw a cartoon on the internet and they discovered that this cartoon was drawn by a 20-year-old Muslim boy from Bangladesh and they decided to visit their anger on innocent Christians and their churches.

"I have been told that nine people including a youth corper are confirmed dead and several others injured while the local government in a desperate attempt to cover the dastardly act pretended to be taking the victims to the hospital while in reality they sent some of the victims to Bauchi and some other places around so that people will not go there and see the number of destitutes or refugees caused by this incident.

Mr. Salifu went on to say,

"It is clear that the cartoonist is from Bangladesh and he is a Muslim, so why should they now visit their anger on Christians unless they are lunatics and if you call them this type of name, they say they are angry, but they go killing.
