After examining the prospective association of religious affiliation, religious service attendance, and strength and comfort derived from religion with subsequent cardiovascular events and overall rates of mortality, the researchers found that those attending religious services showed a 20 pct decrease in death risk.

I guess they didn't include Islam in their studies...

According to Israeli researchers, the average age of the suicide bomber has declined slightly from 22 in the 1990s to about 20 or 21 now.

Bassem Wahidi, the headmaster at Salahudeen School, said he and the staff will call the police, and then a boy's parents, if they learn that the boy is planning a suicide attack.

"You can't blame them for doing this, what with everything they see on TV, but we oppose it because they have a future," Wahidi said. "They can be a doctor, an engineer, a soldier to kill Israelis. But at this age they should be educating themselves."

There are lots of ways you can learn to kill joos without strapping a bomb to yourself! Why, you can be a bus driver, and drive them off a cliff! Or you can be a fireman and burn them to death! U.N. Calls Israeli Blockade "Inhuman" And "Barbaric;" Ignores Missile Attacks Against Civilians

Once again the United Nations sides with Islamic terrorists and condemns Israel's defensive measures to protect its civilians.

Ignoring the fact that Hamas terrorists have launched several missile attacks against civilian populations in recent days, U.N. spokesman made this comment about Israel's latest blockade:

"This is both a physical as well as a mental punishment of the population - of mothers and parents trying to feed their children - who are being forced to live hand to mouth," he said.

"It is a further illustration of the barbarity of this inhuman blockade."

Of course, there is no "barbarity" or "inhumanity" in firing missiles into populations of Israeli mothers and parents trying to feed their children.

EDINBURGH, Scotland — A Scottish court refused on Friday to release from prison a cancer-stricken Libyan man convicted of the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which killed 270 people.

...

He did not appear in court Friday. In a statement released through his legal team, al-Megrahi said, "I am very distressed that the court has refused me bail pending the hearing of my appeal and the chance to spend my remaining time with my family."

I think he should be executed just for that statement. The arrogant Muslim pig caused more distress and suffering than any of us can imagine. He denied 270 people the chance to spend time with their families, and now he has the audacity to request the court to have mercy on him?

I know, in his mind, the deaths of 270 kuffar is inconsequential, but the inconvenience of a Muslim is a grievous inhumanity...

This is the mentality of Islam.

When cheering for someone turns into adulation, something is wrong. Excessive adulation is indicative of a personality cult. The cult of personality is often created when the general population is discontent. A charismatic leader can seize the opportunity and project himself as an agent of change and a revolutionary leader. Often, people, tired of the status quo, do not have the patience to examine the nature of the proposed change. All they want is change. During 1979, when the Iranians were tired of the dictatorial regime of the late Shah, they embraced Khomeini, not because they wanted Islam, but because he promised them change. The word in the street was, “anything is better than the Shah.” They found their error when it was too late.

Khomeini promised there would be separation between religion and state. He lied and they did not care to look into his past to see whether he actually meant what he said. Had they done that they would have seen that he always believed in caliphate and the rule of Islam. People gobbled everything he told them uncritically. They wanted to believe and therefore closed their eyes so they did not see what they did not want to see. Eyes welled when he spoke. Masses poured into the streets by the millions, screamed and shouted to greet him. People kissed his pictures. Some saw his portrait reflected on the Moon.

Blogburst: ISNA Crescent Atop Flight 93 Minaret

The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is a Saudi funded Wahabbist group. Its logo is in the shape of a mosque with a crescent topped minaret and a crescent topped dome. Here is the ISNA logo juxtaposed to a similarly shaped mosque from Uppsala Sweden:



Both configurations have upturned crescents. The difference is that the arms of the ISNA crescents are lifted symmetrically, while the Uppsala crescents have one arm above the other.

On actual minarets, the Uppsala configuration is the norm, seen also in this photo of the Abdul Gaffoor mosque in Singapore:



There seems to be only one example of an actual minaret that is to be built in the ISNA configuration. That is the Tower of Voices minaret from the planned Flight 93 memorial:

The up-tower view shows the symbolic Islamic heavens projected against the sky while the symbolic lives of the 40 heroes literally dangle down below. Murdoch had to do this in order for his Crescent of Embrace design (centered around a giant Mecca-oriented crescent) to be a proper mosque. The 40 infidels could not actually be honored in the design. They had to be depicted as symbolically damned.

Murdoch actually repeats this theme in the central crescent, where the 4 extra translucent blocks (one for each hijacker) are all placed in the symbolic Islamic heavens (the crescent and star parts of the structure), while the 40 translucent blocks inscribed with the names of the 40 heroes are all placed outside of the symbolic Islamic heavens.

Do Wahabbists recognize the crescent as a symbol of Islam?

One of the two Muslim scholars who the Park Service tapped for expert opinion on whether claims of Islamic symbolism in the Flight 93 memorial should be taken seriously was a Paul Murdoch classmate named Nasser Rabbat. (Both recieved Masters degrees in architecture from UCLA in 1984.)

One of the excuses Rabbat offered the Park Service for not being concerned about all the Islamic-shaped crescents was to question whether the crescent really should be seen as a Muslim symbol at all:

The Crescent is a debatable Islamic universal symbol. Many groups do not use it. I know in fact of no militant group that uses it. [AHEM.] Islamic modern states have opted to use it, sometimes with the star, which is a modern symbol with no Islamic connotation.

He is right here that the most fanatical Islamic fundamentalists, the Salafists (who model themselves on the first three generations of violent Islamic conquest), are not keen on the crescent, since it was adopted as a Muslim symbol by the Ottomans, long after the time of Muhammad.

The official Saudi state religion of Wahabbism is Salafist. That is why the Saudi Arabian flag is one of the only Islamic flags not to feature the Ottoman crescent and star:

But the ISNA is a primary vehicle for the Saudi funded building of Wahabbist mosques in North America. How can this be? Is the crescent actually a universal enough Islamic symbol that even the Salafist Saudi Wahabbists acknowledge it?

Indeed, and for a very simple reason. The crescent is not just the shape of the Ottoman flag. It is also a reference to the Islamic lunar calendar, and it is the shape of the archetypical Islamic mihrab: the Mecca-direction indicator around which every mosque is built. Here are the two most famous mihrabs in the world, the mihrab at the Prophet's mosque in Medina, and the mihrab of the Great Mosque in Cordoba, seen here in sequence with Barack Hussein Obama's campaign logo:



Face into the crescent to face Mecca. For the contrast between Murdoch's intentional use of Islamic symbol shapes and Obama's unintentional use of Islamic symbol shapes, see our earlier blogburst on Obama's crescent-topped logo.

So yes, the crescent actually is a universal Islamic symbol. The only people who even question it are the most extreme Salafists, which evidently includes Nasser Rabbat. How did this Paul Murdoch classmate ever get tapped by the Park Service in the first place, so that he could even be in a position to give them his blatantly dishonest excuses for not being concerned about the giant Mecca oriented crescent? Just one of the many things that Congress needs to investigate. (Petition here.)

ISNA big in Murdoch's hometown of LA

Murdoch could be some kind of nihilistic leftist, but the most likely explanation for his attempt to stab a terrorist memorial mosque into the heartland of America is that he at some point converted to an aggressively hateful, violent and supremacist sect of Islam like Saudi Wahabbism and is acting today as a freelance jihadist.

Such a person would almost certainly be familiar with the ISNA. 80% of American mosques preach the Saudi poison, but often the Saudi funding is hidden. Not so in Los Angeles, where the city's largest mosque, the King Fahd Mosque in Culver City, is openly funded by the Saudi Government.

We won't learn Murdoch's actual associations without a Congressional investigation, but the fact that he used a minaret configuration that is elsewhere seen only in the ISNA logo is mildly suggestive of a Wahabbist connection. For now, the only reason to bring up the Murdoch/ISNA likeness is to clarify that even Salafists accept the crescent as a component of mosque design.

They picked a Wahabbist as their representative of Islam? Why not invite bin Laden himself, who is a perfectly orthodox Wahabbist?

The ISNA was founded by the Saudi funded Muslim Students Association (MAS), which has close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, the progenitor of all modern Sunni terrorist groups, including al Qaeda.

What else should we expect? After all, the mainstream left DID spend the last five years trying desperately to hand Iraq over to al Qaeda and Iran.

Just as CNN did a couple of weeks ago in its report on "Honor" Killings, FoxNews has also taken the PC road to avoid using the terms "muslim" or "Islam" in its report about acid attacks on women in Pakistan.

The Russia - Georgia conflict clarified, from the Washington Post:

The Georgian leadership took steps, sometimes against the advice of its allies, sometimes without telling them, that accelerated the advance to a war in which Georgia could never prevail, according to a U.S. account. But the key question -- who finally triggered full conflict? -- remains in dispute. The Georgians said they staged their offensive only after Russian troops began streaming into South Ossetia and the Russians saying they advanced only after the Georgians began attacking South Ossetia's capital, Tskhinvali.

The Kremlin, long angry over Georgia's close ties with the United States and Western Europe, may have been itching for a fight, as Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has long insisted. If so, Saakashvili facilitated the lopsided matchup. Some Western officials say that although he faced clear provocations, he was reckless. "If it was a trap, and there's good reason to think it was, he walked right into it," one Western diplomat said, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

In Georgia, popular anger against Russia remains high, and Saakashvili has yet to be called to account for the decision to assault Tskhinvali, a small city in which thousands of civilians were forced into their cellars by shelling.

Russian officials say 2,000 people died in Tskhinvali. That figure has been described as inflated by human rights groups. But there unquestionably was a large toll of civilian deaths and injuries, which has outraged Russia and shocked Georgia's Western allies.

Could We Be Wrong Again?

Just as America unwittingly backed Islamic militants in their jihad against Serbia, it appears the United States, and most of the Western world, is siding with another savage militant minority.

Unconfirmed, from Russia Today:

The Regnum news agency is reporting that Georgian troops burned down a 10th century Orthodox church while terrified civilians perished inside. The agency quotes eyewitness accounts of the atrocity after all-out fighting in Khetagurovo, a small village near the republic’s capital Tskhinvali.

Almost all of those fighting to defend the village were killed, but the report says the fate of others, mostly women and the elderly, turned out to be even more horrible.

Eyewitnesses report that Georgian tanks literally ran people down and that soldiers took almost all the women to another location. Their fate is still unknown.

Other gruesome details have emerged, via Daily Mail Online:

In another atrocity, innocent villagers were crushed under the tracks of oncoming tanks, claimed Regnum.

Another allegation - again without detail or confirmation - is that locals were cowering in cellars for safety when Georgian forces flooded their hideouts.

Putin was reported to have been told how several girls were locked in a village house before it was set on fire, burning them alive.

'We saw how a tank hit and then drove over the body of an elderly woman who was trying to flee,' one eye-witness was quoted as saying.

'We a saw a body of an 18-month-old baby that had been stabbed to death by Georgians.'

Could America be wrong about this conflict in Georgia? It wouldn't be a surprise. After all, we have been wrong before.

Ignoring the victims of London's 7/7 bombing by Muslim terrorists, Channel 4 instead explores unreasonable anti-Muslim sentiment among the Infidels.

On the third anniversary of the London bombings, Britain’s Channel 4 screened an hour-long programme rhetorically titled “It Shouldn’t Happen to a Muslim” about the rise of anti-Muslim sentiment in the country since the fateful day on July 7, 2005 when four British-born Muslims of Pakistani origin blew themselves up on the London Underground killing 53 people in what, with a little journalistic licence, has been described as Britain’s worst terror attack in living memory.

Bombs Of Peace

Three Muslims on trial for attempting to destroy airliners mid-flight insist they never intended to hurt any innocent people:

The changes of plea form part of the defence for some of the accused, who say that while they might have been planning to carry out explosions, and had made martyrdom videos, they never intended to attack airliners or kill people.

Instead, according to Abdulla Ahmed Ali, the alleged ring leader of the plot, the men had planned to carry out a publicity stunt-type explosion -- possibly at the Houses of Parliament -- in order to draw attention to a documentary film they were planning to make criticising British and U.S. foreign policy.

Immediately, some may leap to the defense of Islam by claiming the Quran forbids the killing of innocent people. It does not. In Islam, only Muslims are ever considered innocent. Non-Muslims are considered to be the corrupted enemy of Allah. They are the ones Muhammad accused of spreading mischief and persecution throughout the land. And the punishment for them?

Execution, crucifixion, or mutilation. So, when a Muslim tells you Islam forbids the killing of innocent people, remember that non-Muslims are never innocent according to the religion of peace.

This is WONDERFUL news! Ahmad Batebi, one of the most widely recognized political dissents from Iran, has made his way to freedom. In his honor, several months ago I made this inspirational poster:

I can't express the joy I felt upon hearing this news of his freedom. Gateway Pundit has quoted Ahmad as saying:

"I wish each and every Iranian could travel abroad, come to the U.S. or go to Europe, for just one week, and feel, smell, and breathe freedom, human dignity, and realize the value of their lives."

Although it comes a day late, this is the most perfect Independence Day gift I could imagine.

Muslims Attack Innocents Over Rumour

Is this still news? Rioting without cause and attacking innocent people because of perceived insults - it's become such a common occurrence...

A Christian woman converts to Islam. Authorities rush to protect her from her family, just in case they might be thinking of harming her. They don't, of course, but later the woman decides to "disappear." Frothing, insatiable Muslims go on a mad rampage attacking non-Muslims who had nothing to do with the woman or her family.

The "religion of peace" at work.

The attackers took to the streets on June 19, 2008 after the disappearance of Dalia Makram, a Christian convert to Islam. Dalia, or Demiana as she was known before her conversion to Islam, converted to Islam in order to marry Hamada Sayed Zaki about two years ago.

After her conversion to Isam, the authorities detained members of her family justifying the move as" to protect her if they thought of harming her" Dalia’s family subsequently left the village and moved elsewhere.

Just out of curiosity, how often does a Christian family harm a family member for apostasy? They may shun the family member, but rarely, if ever, will they hurt the family member.

On the other hand, how many apostates from Islam have been threatened, harmed, or murdered? How many "honour" killings have been committed because the victim "abandoned" his/her religion?

Too many.

On the 19th June, Dalia went to Cairo with her husband and child to visit a sick relative. She later disappeared and rumors spread that her Christian family abducted her. This spurred the Muslims of Al-Nazla to gather and attack Copts homes in an act of retribution, even though the Copts in the village had nothing to do with the matter.

Only the 'religion of peace' will justify an attack on innocent civilians based on "rumours" or "suspicions." Falling straight into her role of a 'good' Muslim, I would not be the least bit surprised if Demiana staged her own disappearance to stir tensions and disorder Muslims so desperately desire.

If You can't go to fight Jihad, bring Jihad to where you can fight.
