Just another day at the madrassah. (One of which, incidentally, Barack Hussein "No Middle Name" Obama attened as a child!)

Police said Ziauddin, whose title "Qari" signifies he is a mullah, had suspended the boy from a ceiling fan for an hour before he beat him. When he realised how badly Mohammed was hurt, he apparently fled instead of taking him to hospital.

An autopsy concluded that Mohammed, who was blind from birth, died of severe head injuries and also found marks of "physical torture" on his body. Police said the fatal blow might have been caused by Ziauddin dropping the boy when he cut him down from the fan.

According to the boy's father, the teacher had previously smashed him over the head with an iron rod, cutting him so badly that he needed stitches.

"We got the boy treated and wanted to pull him out of the madrassah but we decided to readmit him after the teacher said he would show some mercy to the boy," Mohammed's father Fayyaz Ahmed, 35, said. "We really did not expect him to go so far after he reassured us."

Mohammed was sent to the school eight months ago in the hope that he would become a Hafiz-e-Quran - a scholar who wins great respect by memorising the whole of the Koran.

"We kept pushing him to go because we wanted him to become a religious scholar," sobbed his mother Gulzar Bibi, 28. "We thought he was making the stories up like kids usually do to avoid going to school."

"We thought he would be the key to our emancipation on the day of the judgment," she added.

One fundamental difference between Muslims and the rest of humanity. How many parents would have left their child in an abusive situation in order to secure their own selfish salvation? Why would these parents send their child back to a school where they knew he was being savagely beaten?

Sacrificing children - even one's own children - is a virtue in Islam. Why? Because unlike Christianity, which offers salvation through the intercession of God's child, Muslims believe their salvation lies with the intercession of another Muslim. In Islam, only the most absolutely pious Muslims earn their own way into paradise. Muslim scholars conveniently are permitted into Islamic paradise. Martyrs who die fighting for Allah are guaranteed to reach paradise. Each will then be able to 'invite' up to 70 friends or relatives to join them in paradise. (That doesn't include the 373,248 virgins for each man.) The average "moderate" Muslim must depend on an invitation of a scholar or martyr!

This is the reason so many Muslim parents are eager to send their children to their deaths. This is the reason Muslims celebrate when a loved one dies. This is the cult of death.

The AP sets its priorities - children dying, news as usual. But reporting the desecration of a Quran and watching a U.S. General BEG for forgiveness - Priceless.

BAGHDAD (AP) - An American soldier used a Quran, the Islamic holy book, for target practice in a predominantly Sunni area west of Baghdad, prompting an apology from the U.S. military, a spokesman said Sunday.

Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond responded in the most dhimmi fashion:

"I come before you here seeking your forgiveness. In the most humble manner I look in your eyes today and I say please forgive me and my soldiers."

The commander also read a letter of apology by the shooter, and another military official kissed a Quran and presented it to the tribal leaders, according to CNN.

Separately, mortar shells slammed into a residential area north of the Iraqi capital, killing at least four people and wounding 30, most children playing outside, officials said Sunday.

But there was no apology for the bloodshed of the children by Islamic insurgents.

Bandaged girls and boys with bloodstained clothes cried as they were packed two to a bed at a hospital in Sadr City, a Shiite stronghold where most of the recent fighting has occurred.

UPDATE: Iraqi leaders refuse to accept the apology. Perhaps a public beheading of the offending soldier would suffice?

the Iraqi Islamic Party -- which said it reacted to the news "with deep resentment and indignation" -- wants the "severest of punishments" for the action to serve as a lesson for the future.

"Such assaults have recurred over the past few years; therefore, the apology alone is no longer sufficient," the party said in a statement. "The U.S. military should take preventative measures considering the feelings of Muslims."

Irena Sendler, who saved thousand of children by smuggling them out of the Warsaw Ghetto, dies at age 98.

Irena Sendler, aged 98, the saviour of some 2500 Jewish children during the WWII, died in a Warsaw hospital on Monday morning. She was awarded numerous honors in recognition of her activities and was one of the nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.

A True Hero

CHICAGO — Chicago police say a man died as he tried to shield his four-year-old daughter from an auto allegedly driven by a man under the influence of a controlled substance.

Joseph Richardson was walking his daughter Kaniyah to a McDonald's for burgers late Monday when a car jumped the curb. Police say the 39-year-old Richardson grabbed his daughter just before the car slammed the two into a fence.

Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene. Kaniyah was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in serious condition.

The former athlete committed the crime in a state of temporary insanity on New Year’s night, January 1, 2008. Alexander Kuznetsov entered the apartment building where he lived with his family and saw an unidentified adult male abusing a little boy. The boy was Kuznetsov’s eight-year-old adopted son.

The defendant said that the boy was unconscious, beaten and stripped. The boy’s step-father, formerly a professional boxer, killed the pedophile with a few blows. The latter was subsequently identified as a 20-year-old native of Uzbekistan (a former republic of the Soviet Union), a student at one of Russian universities.

“I wanted to detain him. I don’t know how it happened. I could not control myself,” Kuznetsov said at court.

UPDATE: I wanted to update this post to get more into the fatwa which allows Muslims to commit these horrendous acts against children and babies.

First, about fatwas. A fatwa is an Islamic ruling made by a Islamic scholar or knowledgeable cleric. It guides Muslims through certain aspects of Islamic law, providing a standard on how they should behave or not behave. Though Muslims are encouraged to recognize and obey fatwas, it is not an obligation.

The fatwa in question, written by the late Ayatollah Khomeini, is presented below. Please read it carefully (if you can stomach it):

"A man can marry a girl younger than nine years of age, even if the girl is still a baby being breastfed. A man, however is prohibited from having intercourse with a girl younger than nine, other sexual acts such as foreplay, rubbing, kissing and sodomy is allowed. A man having intercourse with a girl younger than nine years of age has not committed a crime, but only an infraction, if the girl is not permanently damaged. If the girl, however, is permanently damaged, the man must provide for her all her life. But this girl will not count as one of the man's four permanent wives. He also is not permitted to marry the girl's sister."

A few points to ponder...

This fatwa allows a grown, Muslim man to commit virtually any sexual act - including sodomy(!) - upon a child, even as young as one day old. The only limitation is vaginal intercourse. At least until she is nine years of age, the same age Aisha was when the Islamic prophet Mohammed raped her. However, if the Muslim man chooses to penetrate an infant girl, he has not committed a crime. It is only an 'infraction'. An infraction that carries no punishment other that a financial burden should the penetration cause physical damage. In that case, the Muslim man will have to provide for the girl for the rest of her life. He does not have to marry her. Just provide.

Provide.

In even the most humane societies, one can chain a dog to a tree and toss it food and water every few days. That is 'providing'. It isn't 'caring'. Essentially, if a Muslim man rapes a one day old infant causing permanent physical damage, his only punishment is that he has purchased a slave.

There is no consideration if the girl suffers emotional or psychological damage. She doesn't matter. She is only an object of pleasure for Muslim men.

Indonesia: Islam To Blame For Child Abuse

The National Committee for Child Protection says Islam is most responsible for the abuses of children in Indonesia today:

Mulyadi also explained that many [Muslim] parents view their children as possessions.

“Parents feel superior and think they can treat their children however they want, thinking it is for the sake of their future or education.”

According to a new report by KPAI, an estimated 72,000 Indonesian children were abused last year, either physically, sexually or mentally, and most of the violence was carried out by parents or relatives.

KPAI’s report shows that 447,294 children are living in the street, 42,771 are being exploited sexually in a commercial manner, 232,726 have dropped out of school and 721,615 are employed as workers.

The report also highlights how children’s rights are excluded from government plans, even though Indonesia has signed the UN Convention on Child Rights, which calls for it to uphold children’s rights.

Although most of the abuse happens in poor, uneducated families, Mulyadi explained that abuse also happens in wealthy homes.

KPAI is seeking a ministry for child rights and using media to teach parents to be more affectionate.

However, Mulyadi said that, most importantly, the culture needs to change their perception of children and lift the cultural taboo that contributes to abuse in the archipelago.

“Many parents think that reporting incidents will bring shame to the family, especially if it involves sexual abuse,” he said.

Honor Killings In America

This would be shocking if committed by any other than the religion of peace. Sadly, it has become expected when involving Muslims.

Police provided no clues about the motive for the killings. "There are several things we're looking into," said Irving police Officer David Tull, noting that the suspect faces capital murder charges.

Officer Tull said there have been some "domestic issues" with the family, but he did not elaborate.

Police did say they are looking into the possibility that the father was upset with his daughters' dating activities.

Muslims Slaughter Picnicking Tourists

Mauritanian authorities said they were searching Tuesday for three men suspected of links with a local terror network in connection with the fatal shooting of four picnicking French tourists.

Gunmen opened fire on the tourists after they refused to hand over their money Monday near Aleg, a small town 150 miles east of Mauritania's capital, Nouakchott, police said.

The dead included two children. Their father, the sole survivor, was seriously wounded and flown overnight to the main hospital in Senegal's capital, Dakar, where he was in an intensive care unit, said Moussa Samb, spokesman for the hospital.

The three suspects were tried this year by a Mauritanian court on terror-related charges but acquitted and released. Prosecutors had accused them of being local members of the Algeria-based terror network, al-Qaida in Islamic North Africa, and of training with the group in Algeria.

The man who allegedly arranged the taxi for the three was tried earlier this year on similar charges. He was convicted of having trained with the al-Qaida group in Algeria and given a one-year suspended sentence.

Two Mauritanians suspected of involvement in the killings of four French tourists were arrested Friday and officials said they are believed to belong to an Algerian-based terror cell affiliated with al-Qaida.

The two suspects, both in their 20s, have confessed to participating in the Christmas Eve attack, said Lucinda Barbosa, director of judicial police in the tiny West African nation of Guinea-Bissau.

In a gruesome incident a Maulvi beheaded his 15 year old student for recovering Rs.7,000 which the boy's father had taken from him.

The maulvi (Islamic teacher) who was a friend of the victim's father stayed nearby and had given a loan of Rs.7, 000 to his friend. On not getting his money back the accused Narulhaq Abdulhaq Saiyad beheaded Abid Ali Saiyad and packed the head in a plastic bag and dumped it on the terrace of his house.

UNICEF - The United Nations Children's Fund, claims it is "a broad coalition dedicated to improving the life of every child" and "the driving force that helps build a world where the rights of every child are realized." Apparently that doesn't include the right of an 11-year-old child not to be raped by a Muslim man.

A suicide bomber rammed a car packed with explosives into a school bus near an air force base in northwestern Pakistan on Monday, killing himself and wounding about nine people, including several children, the military said.

"A terrorist targeted a schoolchildren's bus. The driver and the guard who were sitting in the front have been seriously injured," said military spokesman Major-General Waheed Arshad.

"Because of the timely reaction of the driver, the children were saved. Only about six or seven children were injured," he added. "It was outside the Kamra air base. It was specially targeting the schoolchildren's bus."

Albania Children Protest Child Abuse and Slavery

Albania is majority Muslim. Is it any surprise that these 7th Century Savages™ condone or participate in child slavery? My guess is, most of these abused and exploited children are female, the "deficient" sex according to Muslim scholars.

One in two of Albania's children experience physical violence at home and one in three at school, according to UNICEF. Based on the 2006 report of the Ministry of Interior, last year in Albania there were some four hundred cases of child violence reported and around 50 of them resulted in the child's death.

In a press conference organized on November 19th World Vision as a member of the coalition against child violence, a coalition of a dozen local and international NGOs, appealed to the Albania government to take rapid actions in ratifying the convent against child abuse and child labor.

According to the Women's World Summit Foundation, every year over 1 million children are pulled into the sex trade, some 180 million are exploited for work and over 120 million will never go to school.

TALIBAN militants shot dead a teenage boy in southeastern Afghanistan for teaching English to his classmates, police said.

Taliban militants have killed a number of teachers and students in recent years for attending government-run schools, taking part in classes for girls or what the hardline Islamist militants consider un-Islamic subjects.

Armed men arrived at the school in the Sayed Karam district of Paktia province and grabbed a 16-year-old student and dragged him outside.

“Taliban militants took the boy out and killed him outside the school just because he was teaching English to his classmates,” said General Esmatullah Alizai, the police chief of Paktia province.

MANILA, Philippines - A powerful blast rocked a crowded shopping mall in Manila's financial district Friday, killing at least eight people and wounding dozens. Police in the capital declared the highest state of alert and did not rule out a bomb.

An initial report suggested the blast was caused by a cooking gas tank in a mall restaurant, but Metropolitan Manila police chief Geary Barias later said the explosion was at the entrance of the mall and its cause was under investigation.

"It's too early to say if it's terrorism related," Barias said.

In the past, Manila has been a target of Al-Qaida-linked militants, who have waged a yearslong bloody bombing campaign in the southern Philippines.

Insurgent Throws Grenade Into School

BAGHDAD - An insurgent threw a hand grenade into a school compound in central Basra Thursday, wounding six boys, one seriously, according to police.

The morning attack took place on the grounds of a private middle- and high-school complex in the Kut al-Hajaj area of Basra, according to a police officer who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to release the information. Basra is Iraq's second-largest city, 340 miles southeast of Baghdad.

Lahore (AsiaNews) – A Muslim mob armed with guns and steel rods attacked the New Apostolic Church in Hadyara, on the outskirts of Lahore. They beat up worshippers, including a child, and damaged property.

After the incident the attackers through mosque loudspeakers called on Muslims from nearby villages to gather for a “final attack” after Ramadan. They also urged businesses and farmers not to allow Christians on their properties or do business with them.
