For The Children (Yeah! That's The Ticket!)

Well, since the kuffar are so willing to give away money, why shouldn't Muslims take as much as they can, whether they need it or not? Let them pay for Jihad.

UNICEF has signed a “memorandum of understanding” with the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), a Saudi charity of massive scope that keeps branches in more than 20 countries and has over 100 offices worldwide.

According to UNICEF, it will be teaming with the charity’s domestic Saudi branch to “promote children’s rights, health, equality and education,” in the oil-rich kingdom — but the organization has been doing more than just charity work.

The U.S. Treasury Department has designated the IIRO’s branches in the Philippines and Indonesia as terrorist entities for funding and supporting terrorist groups that have killed hundreds in East Asia. The Philippine branch was founded by Usama bin Laden’s brother-in-law, Muhammad Jamal Khalifah, and has long had ties to Al Qaeda.

By the way, that "rights, health, equality and education" excludes little girls. They will, instead, be groomed for sex slaves. Just thought you ought to know...

U.S. On UN Human Rights Council - 'Pathetic'

Finally! The United States has taken issue with the UN's Human Rights Council, its anti-Semitism and ineffectiveness:

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice "has taken the decision that we will engage the Human Rights Council really only when we believe that there are matters of deep national interest before the council, and we feel compelled", said State Department spokesman Sean McCormack.

"Our scepticism regarding the function of the council on human rights in terms of fulfilling its mandate and its mission is well-known. It has a rather pathetic record in that regard,'' he said.

[...]

Two years on, the council is under fire for failing to act on human rights violations in places such as Sudan's Darfur region, while at the same time focusing on criticizing Israel for its treatment of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

"Instead of focusing on some of the real and deep human rights issues around the world, it has really turned into a forum that seems to be almost solely focused on bashing Israel,'' Mr McCormack said.

This same "human rights" body found only Israel a violator of women's rights in the Middle East:

Last Friday, March 9, 2007 the UN wrapped up its annual session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women. Guess where they found a violation of women's rights? Among the hundreds of thousands of women who are dead, dying, mutilated, displaced or raped in Sudan? Among the million female migrant workers cowering in the basements of Saudi Arabian villas from the taskmasters who stole their passports the minute they got off the plane? Among the women stoned and hanged for "adultery" in Iran? The millions of women forcibly aborted in China? The thousands murdered or forced to commit suicide for the crime of "dishonoring" their fathers and brothers across the Arab and Muslim world?

If you guessed "none of the above," then you'll enjoy coming on down to the UN. The UN's lead body charged with promoting and protecting women's rights identifies only one state as violating the rights of women in the world today – Israel.(Violating the rights of Palestinian women.) The vote was 40 for and 2 against (the United States and Canada).

U.N. To Investigate Racism In The U.S.

Keep in mind, this is the same organization that ignores blatant human rights abuses in Muslim countries - abuses such as "honor" killings, slavery, and legal oppression of women - while condemning Israel as being the only violator of women's rights. In a world filled with war, terrorism, intolerance, hatred, plunder, systematic torture & abuses, religious persecution, rape, slaughter, and sanctioned genocidal cleansing, who does the U.N. feel most compelled to investigate? The United States of America.

A special U.N. human rights investigator will visit the United States this month to probe racism, an issue that has forced its way into the race to secure the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.

Now, we have an African American running for the highest office in the United States, arguably the most important position on earth, and the United Nations has the nerve to suggest we are a racist nation.

Why, let's ignore that fact that non-Muslims are forbidden to hold any position of authority, even at a local level, in some Islamic societies. Let's ignore the fact of public lynchings in certain Muslim cities. Never mind that, in Islamic countries, it is perfectly legal to beat a woman, that Muslims routinely burn down churches on a whim with no retribution or punishment, that terrorists are elevated to high government offices by Muslim hordes who support atrocities against and extermination of non-Muslims. Let's just pre-label America "racist" in case voters actually have the audacity to vote based on issues instead of skin colour.

Let us just assume that any American who does not vote for Barack Hussein "No Middle Name" Obama in November is nothing but racist bigot.

WHO: Israel Doesn't Sacrifice Enough

Israel has always acted in a humanitarian manner. Their hospitals treat all patients equally, without consideration to their nationality, culture, or political background. A terrorist is treated the same as a terrorism victim.

Brigitte Gabriel, who was born and raised in Lebanon, wrote about her first experience at an Israeli hospital:

For the first time in my life I experienced a human quality that I know my culture would not have shown to their enemy. I experienced the values of the Israelis, who were able to love their enemy in their most trying moments.

I spent 22 days at that hospital. Those days changed my life and the way I believe information, the way I listen to the radio or to television. I realized I was sold a fabricated lie by my government, about the Jews and Israel, that was so far from reality.

I knew for fact that, if I was a Jew standing in an Arab hospital, I would be lynched and thrown over to the grounds, as shouts of joy of Allah Akbar, God is great, would echo through the hospital and the surrounding streets.

Thus, the fundamental difference between a civilized culture, and a savage culture. But World Health Organization (WHO) would have you believe that, in protecting itself and its citizens, Israel is somehow behaving in a most uncivilized manner. In 1994, one of the agreements in the Israeli-Palestinian peace accords, the Palestinian Authority assumed responsibility for health services in the West Bank and Gaza. But the P.A. failed its obligation.

Now, according to the WHO, it falls upon Israel to sacrifice its own safety for Palestine's health care. In 2007, Israel treated more than 7,000 Gazans.

According to the WHO, 32 Gazans died between October 2007 and March 2008 while waiting for travel permits.

"WHO believes there is a right for everybody to get health care," said Mahmoud Dahar, the organisation's director in Gaza.

...And apparently, it falls upon Israel to provide that right. No accountability for Palestine's government, which supports terrorism...

But Israel says it has to balance Gaza's humanitarian needs with its own security.

"The Israeli policy is to facilitate all the medical needs for Gaza," said Maj Peter Lerner, spokesman for the Co-ordinator of Activities in the Territories.

"The only reason a permit would be denied is for security concerns."

He says militants have repeatedly tried to exploit Israel's humanitarian policy to carry out attacks in Israel.

In June 2007, two Palestinian women who had received medical entry permits were arrested at the Erez crossing after it was discovered they planned to blow themselves up in an Israeli hospital, Israeli authorities said.

But WHO, much like the U.N., doesn't care about Israel's security. They don't care that, by rejecting one potentially threatening Gazan, dozens of Israeli lives are protected.

'Occupied' Gaza & the U.N.

(Hat Tip: Snapped Shot & Camera Snapshots)

Who really "occupies" Gaza? ZioNation Blog noticed this little snippette from an interview between a news correspondent and a UN spokesperson:

Question: ...A year and half after the last Israeli withdrew from Gaza, the UN system still refers to Gaza as an Occupied Palestinian Territory. The only people who are not Palestinian in Gaza currently are UN people. Do you mean that Gaza is occupied by the UN?

Spokesperson: Definitely not.

Question: So who is it occupied by?

Spokesperson: Well…

Correspondent: I think there are some Israeli soldiers on the border…

Question: Not borders, who is Gaza occupied by?

Spokesperson: Traditionally, this is the terminology we have used. Yes?

Question: But the situation on the ground changed since Israel withdrew from Gaza.

Spokesperson: I will look into this.

Correspondent: Thank you.

Israeli Cluster Bombs Legal

JERUSALEM (AFP) - Israel's use of cluster bombs in last year's war against Hezbollah was legal and conformed to international conventions, a long awaited army investigation said on Monday.

"The Israeli army in most cases used cluster bombs in uninhabited sectors where there were no civilians and from where Hezbollah forces operated," according to the inquiry by legal counsel to the army.

The munitions dropped by Israel during its devastating air war against Lebanon included more than a million cluster bomblets, around 40 percent of which failed to detonate on impact, according to the United Nations.

http://news.yahoo.com

So the U.N. accuses Israel of illegal weapons in a defensive war against Hizbollah. I can't wait for the U.N. to condemn bombs packed with nails, rat poison, and ball-bearings...

I won't hold my breath.

U.N. Collaborating With Terrorists

A week or so ago, video footage surfaced of Palestinian militants firing mortars from a Gaza school run by the United Nations:

The United Nations has been forced to respond to the video:

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has asked for a full investigation of an incident in which Palestinian militants fired rockets at Israel from a UN-run school in Gaza, the United Nations said on Thursday.

UN officials said the school in the town of Beit Hanoun run by the UNRWA agency, which aids Palestinian refugees, was empty at the time of last week's incident after being evacuated because of an Israeli incursion into Gaza.

"The Secretary-General has asked that UNRWA fully investigate this incident," UN Spokeswoman Marie Okabe said at a news briefing. "The Secretary-General condemns this abuse of UN facilities, which is a serious violation of the UN's privileges and immunities," Okabe said.

Were this an isolated event, one might forgive the United Nations. An investigation would, no doubt, result in sanctions against Palestinian militants who abuse and violate U.N. mandates. But this is hardly an isolated incident.

Back in 2004, Reuters videotaped Palestinian militants again using U.N. resources to commit acts of terrorism against Israel:

These two incidents were caught on videotape. One has to wonder how many abuses were not. But this U.N. collaboration doesn't begin and end in Palestine. The U.N. has a history of anti-semitism to the extent it will openly support and empower terrorists. It is only a matter of time before United Nation forces take an active role in attacking Israel. As long as America and Israel are members of the U.N., both are culpable.

U.N. Wants Private Security Contractors Prosecuted

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The United Nations called on the United States government on Thursday to ensure that any private contractors committing offences in Iraq are prosecuted.

The killing of 17 Iraqis in a shooting involving U.S. security firm Blackwater last month has created tensions between Baghdad and Washington and sparked calls for tighter controls on private contractors, who are immune from prosecution in Iraq.

In a new human rights report, the U.N. mission in Iraq urged "U.S. authorities to investigate reports of deaths caused by privately hired contractors and establish effective mechanisms for holding them accountable for where the circumstances surrounding the killings show no justifiable cause."

http://news.yahoo.com

Keep in mind, the United Nations is the same body that identified only Israel for violating the rights of women, all the while ignoring Islamic state's brutal and inhuman treatment of women. This doesn't even begin to touch on the U.N.'s abysmal record with it's "Human Rights" Council.
